Wilderness is a book for younger readers. I usually enjoy such books, but something about this one just didn't do it for me. I didn't connect with the characters. I couldn't relate to them. It's a story of two boys who are taken on a wilderness holiday by their mother/5. "Into the Wilderness", is an epic story set in the late s, about a young English woman named Elizabeth who decides to travel to the vast wilderness of New York in search of adventure and change.

When arrived, she meets several colorful characters who bring this story to life; one being Nathanial, a caucasian man dressed as a Native American/5.
